The 33rd Annual Washington Folk Festival will be held this Saturday and Sunday at the historic Glen Echo Park, which is normally not so easy to get to by public transit. Thankfully, they are offerring a free shuttle bus from Friendship Heights! The festival will showcase over 450 of the finest traditional American and international musicians, dancers, storytelling and crafters who make their homes in the DC area.
Please Note: Track work this Sunday on the red line, Farragut North and Dupont Circle stations will be closed (metro will have free shuttle bus service) so recommend getting on at Woodley Park (Circulator bus goes there) and adding additional time to your travel.

Glen Echo Park does not have enough parking for everyone so GEICO is providing satellite parking at the GEICO campus in Friendship Heights, MD and a free shuttle that will run continuously to and from the festival site from 11:00am - 8:00pm.
Metro: Friendship Heights and walk over to the GEICO parking lot located at 4608 Willard Ave (see walking map from the metro). Walk is about five minutes or so, north on Wisconsin one block to Willard and make a left, walk a little further on Willard.
