Film: Rabin: Shivah in November
Israel, 2010/1995, documentary, 62 min
Hebrew with English subtitles
Producer: Noemi Schory
Mid-Atlantic Premiere

Rabin: Shivah in NovemberShortly after the assassination, this powerful documentary was completed and broadcast, constructed entirely from footage of the television coverage that aired in the seven days following Rabin’s death. The filmmakers have recently finished creating an updated version that is still, like the original, a mosaic of images, thoughts and emotions--part a memorial and part a time capsule. Viewers are able to experience the events much as Israelis saw them, through the television screen.
