Sedenka Celebration with Bulgarian Women's Choir

Celebrate Sedenka, a traditional Bulgarian celebration celebrating springtime, at the Church of the Holy City, 1611 16th St, NW from 2 to 4 p.m. Orfeia, a Bulgarian women's choir founded in 2006 by the legendary Bulgarian singer, Tatiana Sarbinska, will sing traditional village music and arranged pieces from Bulgaria and some Sephardic Jewish songs. As part of the celebration, they will also be telling stories, teaching and performing songs and dances, knitting and making martenitsas.
