In partnership with Transformer Gallery in DC and the National Coalition Against Censorship, the Corcoran will be hosting a free, one-day symposium in light of recent censorship by the Smithsonian Institution. The full-day symposium will also be live streamed at corcoran.org.
Culture Wars: Then and Now panelists include the Corcoran’s Chief Curator and Head of Research Philip Brookman and Associate Provost and Dean of Undergraduate Studies at the Corcoran College of Art + Design Andy Grundberg, among many other notable movers-and-shakers in the DC art world. Robert Storr, Dean, Yale School of Art, will be the day’s keynote speaker not-to-be-missed at 10:00am.
