"Songs of the Soul: Concert for Inner Peace" Inspired by the life and music of Sri Chimnoy
Saturday, June 1st
7:00pm - 9:00pm, doors 5:00pm
Free, RSVP by phone to 202-452-5954 - you just need to leave a message with your name and number and whether you want one or two tickets
Many years ago I saw Sri Chimnoy perform a free concert in DC with a dear friend and we both left totally blissed out, it was unlike anything we had experienced at the time. I imagine this concert will be similarly blissful. Recommend.
About the artists: "The artists performing in Songs of the Soul have taken Sri Chinmoy's creations and from them imagined a journey through a vast landscape of musical expression - classical and modern, Eastern and Western, tranquil and fast-paced, contemplative and joyful.
Artists include: Agnikana's Group, Pavaka and Parichayaka, Mandu and Visuddhi , Paree's International Group , Sahadeva’s Orchestra, Shamita and Bhoiravi and Alap.
"The Songs of the Soul concerts offer a variety of international music encompassing many different genres. Each concert is unique in that the groups that perform vary depending on when and where the concerts are taking place around the world. For these talented musicians, to perform in these concerts is an offering from their souls, so the audiences may share in their inspiration and joy, and receive an uplifting and meditative experience."
