Saturday, June 1st
8:00pm - 10:00pm
Following the success of last October's "Fire Pit of Horror: Poe & Lovecraft" reading, WSC Avant Bard returns to the Lubber Run Fire Ring with "Beowulf," a timeless tale of giants, sea hags, dragons, and heroes. This epic story unfolds in verse and music in a special staged reading under the stars; picnic baskets and blankets are strongly encouraged. Directed and adapted by Acting Company member Lynn Sharp Spears, based on the Seamus Heaney translation. Featuring Brian Crane, Kim Curtis, Joe Palka, and Chuck Young.
