CAAB provides great financial services to DC residents. I have personally worked with them and definitely recommend them! Their services are offered for free for residents of DC with qualifying incomes and this Saturday, they are hosting a free Financial Empowerment event where you'll have a chance to get free credit reports and take advantage of free credit counseling sessions all day long, along with the mini sessions with Certified Financial Planners. In this economic downturn, it's important for folks to take stock of their finances and find out some steps to improve their situations.

The Moneywise Financial Empowerment event features high level speakers from the public, corporate, and faith-based communities, dynamic music performances, panel discussions on a broad range of cutting-edge topics, PLUS one-on-one credit coaching, financial planning, health and wellness demonstrations, and prizes/raffles/exhibits.

CAAB offers free classes and all kinds of great programs - Money Management Classes, IDA match funds for folks wanting to go to school or get new job training, buy their first home, or start a small business, and more - to DC residents with qualifying incomes.
