Friday, November 4th

Art Opening
7:00pm - 9:00pm
Photographs of local business owners, residents, and artists along the U Street Corridor by nationally recognized photographer Tom Wolff. On view October 28th - December 17th.

Saturday, November 5th

Art Opening
Openings for Haven, artist Pauline Jakobsberg's solo show, and In the Vault featuring works by Edward McCluney.

Youth Workshop
1:00pm - 2:00pm
Theme: Youth learn the stories of African-Americans who served in the Military through Prince George's history. Ages: 13 and up, registration requested.

Artist Talk
Hoysted will give a brief introduction to the history of encaustic painting - a process of painting with molten pigmented wax.The Art League

Film Screening
3:30pm - 4:30pm
A rare screening of famed Italian director Franco Zeffirelli's documentary containing the only known film footage of the Florence flood of November 1966.

Sunday, November 6th

Though free, advance registration is required for this event.
Learn what foods Anglo-Saxons ate and how they prepared for daily meals or elaborate feasts. You'll even prepare and taste some samples yourself. Led by culinary expert Amy Riolo.

Dance - Open House

It's the first Sunday of the month - Free Community Day at NMWA!
Performance in gallery. Short character studies delve into the lives and works of 3 artists: 17th-Century artist Maria Sybilla Merian, photographer Berenice Abbott, and contemporary artist Alison Saar.
