Beasley will read from her latest book "Don't Kill the Birthday Girl; Tales From an Allergic Life." Her previous books are both collections of poetry: "I Was The Jukebox" which won the 2009 Barnard Women's Poetry Prize and "Theories of Falling" winner of the New Issues Poetry Prize. Beasley lives in DC and has worked for several years as an editor for The American Scholar. A reception and book signing will follow her presentation.
