If you are someone who is interested in sustainability and community than you might want to attend this talk and slide show, where you can learn more about 16 eco-villages throughout the US, including La'akea, a really neat community on the Big Island of Hawaii that I had the chance to visit this summer.

Diane Christian, author of two books about finding and sustaining intentional community, and editor of the online Ecovillages Newsletter will present a slide show and report on ecovillages in the US. Some of the other communities in the US that she'll chat about are Twin Oaks, and Earthaven, where she currently resides. This event is being organized by some friends of mine, and is sure to be an informative evening and I imagine that you'll also have a chance to meet some interesting folks if you go!
