Doug Aitken’s SONG 1 installation at the Hirshhorn - projection on the building itself
Thursday, March 22nd - Sunday, May 13th
Sunset - Midnight
Free

My friend Jon says on his blog In The Distract "DC gets its fair share of awesome art, music, and other cool stuff, but it’s rare that an installation takes over an entire building. If you haven’t heard all the hoopla, hemming and hawwing, hype, or altogether hysterics about, now you have. It’s a huge installation comprising video and sound that projects itself onto the entire circumference of the Hirshorn museum. It uses 11 high definition video projects to surround the doughnut-shaped museum! Check it out and be amazed!" Read more about the artist and the show on the Hirshhorn's site here.
