Free Capoiera classes for beginners on U St every Tuesday in May. What is Capoeira? A Brazilian martial art that combines elements of dance and music, originated among African slaves taken to Brazil who combined elements of their own culture into a response to the oppression of slavery and it's repercussions. Please wear comfortable shoes and long pants and a t-shirt you can tuck in. If you have questions, you can call them at 202-628-0095.
