Film Screening of "The Vigil" - from a local filmmaker - about a Pakistani classical dancer - followed by a Dance lesson facilitated by the main subject of the film and a Q&A with the director
This event will not only include a screening of the documentary, "The Vigil" (2011, 30 min), but it will also include a dance lesson facilitated by the main subject of the film, Tehreema Mitha, and a Q&A with the film's director! If you don't want to dance, I'm sure you can also just watch.

Facing prejudice, ridicule, and the threat of death by the Taliban, she risks all to preserve her nation's pre-Islamic cultural heritage for future generations.
