Join the folks at The Dumbarton House this weekend for special 1812 self-guided tour. Commemorate Dolley Madison's escape from the burning of Washington to Dumbarton House. Dolley Cake will be served. Tour is free with museum admission.
Metro: Dupont Circle and walk over Q St about 13 minutes, 6 blocks or so, or wait for the bus that runs along P St and get off at the stop closest to 27th. You can also take the Circulator bus to or any 30 line bus that runs north, past Georgetown, on Wisconsin to Q St and walk about ten minutes down Q St.
