Come out for an epic evening of learning about and celebrating unique East Indian culture with a little twist! "Have you heard music of Nobel prize-winning poet Rabindranath Tagore? Or tried the famous Bengali street food delicacies of "ghugni" and eggrolls? These are two of the many reasons you should join us in a one-of-a-kind celebration of the culturally-rich Eastern region of India. The Network for South Asian Professionals and the The Kriya Collective are showcasing the cultural diversity within South Asia, as well as crossovers between South Asia and other cultures for “A Trip through East India” at Bloombars, an event that will highlight the lesser-known yet culturally rich area of Eastern India through dances, music, and visuals. This multimedia event will present unique fusion performances of East Indian classical and folk dance, music, and poetry, and even a chance to taste East Indian street food yourself!"
