The Humanities Council serves as a catalyst for the preservation of DC history and culture, providing DC residents with free workshops and events in addition to educational and leadership training to youth, multiple grant programs, and an online Digital Museum for DC! Digital Preservation Workshop

This workshop is designed for beginners and will equip participants with basic knowledge and additional resources. The digital preservation workshop will be led by an archivist from the Library of Congress who will share with participants techniques on digitizing their historic media collections and methods for storing and organizing those precious papers, photographs, memorabilia and other items of historic value.
