The National Civic Art Society and Hillsdale College will host a lecture by James McCrery, “Architecture in Service to the United States Constitution.” This fourth lecture in the 2012-13 NCAS Classical Art and Architecture series will explore how the U.S. Constitution formed a nation, its people, and its architecture. The ideas manifested in the Constitution are also embedded in the DNA of the Founders’ architectural style. “Architecture in Service to the United States Constitution” is a presentation of the formation of architecture by architects and societies, some instructive historical results thereof, and how excellence in formation remains vital to our culture.
