"Cristian's new "semi-acoustic trio" consisting of Nylon String Guitar, Electric Bass, and Drums joins Carnatic percussionist Akshay Anantapadmanabhan, a rising young star and educator in the Carnatic field who has collaborated with Hindustani, Latin jazz, rock and Brazilian musicians in unique showcases of South Indian percussion. The music will consist mostly of original compositions by Cristian, plus a couple of compositions by Akshay arranged for this particular instrumentation. Electric bass virtuoso Tj Turqman adds a very special color to this ensemble with his very rhythmic and guitaristic way of playing.Graham Doby's tasteful drumming adds an even deeper dimension with his interesting textures and control of dynamics."
