World Premiere of new show by Aaron Posner. The concept for this one was adapted in a way from "The Seagull" by Anton Chekhov. Directed by Howard Shalwitz.
About the show: "An aspiring young theatre director named Conrad struggles to get out from under the shadow of his mother Emma, a famous actress. Meanwhile, his young muse Nina falls for Emma’s lover Doyle, and everyone discovers just how disappointing love, art, and growing up can be. In this contemporary and irreverent riff on Chekhov’s The Seagull, Aaron Posner transforms the famous "subtext" of the classic play into exuberant scenes and songs."
*Tickets are sold at the Woolly the evening of the show, two hours prior to showtime. Two per person, cash or check only. Arrive early to get in line. Tickets to the PWYC nights tend to go fast, though you might have an easier time getting in for the Monday show since it's Memorial Day.
