Free Fourth of July Celebrations during the Day!

National Independence Day Parade
starts 11:45am
The Parade is a major national event which seeks to draw the attention of Americans to the real meaning for the holiday. It is a patriotic, flag-waving, red white and blue celebration of America's birthday!
Constitution Avenue between 7th and 17th Streets (map)

Annual July 4th Celebration at the National Archives
10:00am - 4:00pm
Celebrate July 4th at the National Archives Building on the Constitution Avenue steps between 7th and 9th Streets. We commemorate this historic day with with Steve Scully of C-SPAN as emcee and our annual dramatic reading of the Declaration of Independence.
