"Lawrence Rich was born in Hong Kong in 1951. He began playing guitar at an early age and then began to study the classical guitar while living in Spain from 1970-1974. From 1974-1981 he attended the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University, completing both his B.M. and M.M. in guitar. From 1980-1981 he was a Visiting Instructor of Guitar and Music Theory at the Pennsylvania State University, where he performed both solo recitals and chamber music with the Alard String Quartet. He returned to Spain in 1981 and lived until 1989 in Madrid, where he taught both music and English. From 1989-1995 he attended the University of Maryland at College Park and received his Ph.D in Spanish Literature. He taught Spanish at both St. Mary’s College of MD and at Northern Virginia Community College until May of 2012 when he decided to take early retirement and return to playing the classical guitar."

Robert Lighthouse, a native of Sweden, first came to the United States at the age of 18, determined to learn more about the music he loves -- Mississippi Delta Blues. Read more about him on the invite. Sitali Siyolwe started performing in Egypt at age 7. At 13, Sitali represented Zambia at the United Nations International Youth Festival in Sofia, Bulgaria.Read more about him on the invite.
