The Washington Project for the Arts (WPA) presents Monument to the Unelected, a public art project by artist Nina Katchadourian, in the street level windows of The Washington Post. The series of 56 election signs featuring the names of every person who ever ran for President of the United States, but came in second. Playing humorously with the visual conventions and language of contemporary election signage and political advertising, it presents a view of our collective "road not taken" while challenging our knowledge of American history.
