"Politics isn't fun and games. It's fun and drawings. The country’s/world’s leading editorial cartoonists are coming to DC this Friday and Saturday for the #!&% CARTOONS!! festival, hosted by the Association of American Editorial Cartoonists. For two days, hundreds of cartoonists will celebrate the art of the political cartoon through workshops, panel discussions, and even a cartoon death match. The 2012 Courage in Editorial Cartooning Award will be presented to Syria’s Ali Ferzat (ranked as a 2012 most influential person by Time) and Aseem Trivedi of India (known for his anti-corruption campaign Cartoons Against Corruption)."
