"When elephants fight, it is the grasses who suffer." CODEPINK presents The Suffering Grasses, the latest documentary by Iara Lee. Filmed at the Syria-Turkey border, Lee explores the Syrian Revolution through first person accounts by refugees.

The Three Dolla Holla is an open mic at SOVA on H St, NE on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of every month. "All are welcome! Folk, hip-hop, freestyle, bluegrass, singer-songwriter, indie whatever, dance, stand up comedy, improv, interpretive everything -- Bring it." Featured artist is the lovely and talented Flo Anito. Classically trained in voice, piano, and cello, DC based singer/songwriter Flo Anito got her start in musical theatre. She is known for her powerful voice, clever lyrics, and unique sound. Definitely recommend checking her out!

"Jessica Campbell, a singer-songwriter originally from Catawba, NC, now residing in Nashville, TN, writes for a music publisher in Franklin, TN, travels playing shows and making records. Jessica's songs have been featured on popular television programs like "Ugly Betty", "Hart of Dixie", and CMT's "Melissa & Tye".  Nashville singer-songwriter Heather Morgan from Texas, writes for Sony Music Nashville. She has toured with Willie Nelson and Little Big Town and has had her songs recorded by Tricia Yearwood, Billy Ray Cyrus, and television star Jeannette McCurdy."
