Every year, Subcontinental Drift uses the money it raises at its open mic to stage a larger, curated event for the community. This year, Sub Drift is proud to present a staged reading of new play-in-progress, Meena's Dream, by Anu Yadav, one of D.C.'s most dynamic performers. Directed by Caleen Jennings and with music by Anjna Swaminathan, Rajna Swaminathan and Sam McCormally. This is a formal, staged reading of a work-in-progress, preceded by a musical performance and followed by a talkback. Share your voice in the development of this play!
Anu Yadav is a D.C.-based writer and performer. She recently returned from performances of Midsummer Night's Dream in Beijing, China through the University of Maryland, College Park. The full production of Meena's Dream debuts February 1-2, 2013 at the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center.
