In celebration of the Latin Heritage Month, the Takoma Park Community Center of Takoma Park, MD is exhibiting the artwork of nine Latin American artists from the group the Latin American Art Collective Project. The mission of this newly formed group is to explore the diverse artistic expressions of contemporary Latin American artists living in the Washington DC metropolitan area.
Artists include:
- Felisa Federman, a mixed-media artists from Argentina
- David Camero a theatrical artist from Venezuela
- Andrea Paipa, a photographer from Argentina
- Teresa Diaz, an artist and curator from Mexico
- Camilo Villamizar, a printmaker from Colombia
- Magaly Garza, an abstract painter from Mexico
- Jeannette Herrera, an artist from Peru
- Jobi Magana, an artist from El Salvador
- F. Lennox Campello, a multidisciplinary artists of Cuban background, author of 100 Artists of Washington, DC, and creator of the Daily Campello Art News
