TOMS Vagabond Tour - DC Stop at Sixth & I!
Friday, October 4th
12:00pm - 6:30pm
Free, RSVP Requested
Back in September 2011, Sixth & I hosted an event with Blake Mycoskie, the Founder and Chief Shoe Giver of TOMS, for the release of his New York Times bestselling book Start Something That Matters. TOMS has given over 10 million pairs of new shoes to children in need since it began in 2006. The company also now includes TOMS Eyewear, helping to save and restore sight for those in need.
Today, TOMS is coming back to Sixth & I as part of the TOMS Vagabond Tour! A giant van full of quirky TOMS staff who will be making stops at festivals, fairs, (a synagogue) and giving locations around the country. Stop by the parking lot across the street from the Sixth & I Synagogue's I Street entrance between noon and six to meet TOMS staff and learn more the work they do + check out the Swag-abond, Vagabong exclusives you can't get elsewhere, and and pick up some free stuff! They'll also be running a challenge called "Start Something That Matters" where you can share how has TOMS inspired you to start something that matters and enter for a chance to win a trip to LA to meet with TOMS founder, Blake Mycoskie. Read more about the event here.
