Washington National Cathedral Flower Mart
Friday, May 3rd & Saturday, May 4th
10:00am - 6:00pm
Free, Rain or Shine
Washington National Cathedral’s annual Flower Mart will take place this Friday and Saturday! The event will feature arts, crafts, jewelry and plant vendors along with live music, dancing and more. Sponsored by All Hallows Guild, now in its 74th year of raising funds for the care of the 59 acres surrounding the Cathedral, this year's Mart honors America the Beautiful.
Washington’s favorite spring outdoor family event since 1939 will feature plants, herbs, food, puppet shows, carousel rides, boutiques and entertainment for the whole family.
This year, The Washington Revels will present a one-hour American-themed show on Saturday, May 4th from 2:00pm - 3:00pm celebrating Spring with a colorful procession, traditional songs and dances, the crowning of a May Queen, children’s singing games, and a short play with Johnny Appleseed and other folk heroes. There will be lots of opportunities for audience participation, even in the May Pole dance!
See the online brochure detailing the events for this year's Flower Mart from The Current Newspaper.
